KALESH FOUNDATION UGANDA

How Can I Donate & Contribute?

Your 15 Most Important Questions — Answered

The Kalesh Foundation Uganda is a registered non-profit organisation committed to uplifting marginalised communities across Uganda through education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. Whether you want to give money, donate goods, volunteer your skills, or simply spread the word — every act of support makes a real, measurable difference. Here are the 15 questions we hear most from people who want to contribute.

Donating is simple and secure. Head to our online store at kaleshfoundationug.myshopify.com and choose a one-time or recurring gift by card or mobile money. You can also contact us directly via our social media channels for bank transfer details. Every contribution — no matter how modest — is deployed immediately into active community programmes that are already running on the ground.

Your gift funds four pillars of community transformation: (1) Education — school supplies, bursaries, and classroom infrastructure for children in under-resourced areas; (2) Healthcare — medical outreach camps and hygiene education in communities with limited clinic access; (3) Economic Empowerment — vocational training and micro-enterprise support for women and youth; and (4) Environment — community clean-up drives and sustainability workshops. We run a lean administration model so the vast majority of every donation reaches beneficiaries directly.

We happily receive donations in Ugandan Shillings (UGX), US Dollars, British Pounds, and other major currencies. Local supporters can send funds instantly via MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money. International donors can pay by card through our Shopify store. We are grateful for every contribution at every level — small gifts pooled together create the same impact as larger ones, and every shilling counts when it reaches a child who needs it.

Absolutely — and monthly giving is one of the most powerful forms of support because it allows us to plan programmes with confidence and sustainable funding. You can set up a recurring donation through our online store or contact us to arrange a standing mobile-money instruction. Monthly donors receive regular impact updates so you always know exactly how your ongoing generosity is changing lives, month by month.

Yes — in-kind contributions are warmly welcome alongside financial donations. Items we frequently need include school stationery and textbooks, medical supplies, sewing machines and tailoring tools for vocational training, and clean children's clothing. Please contact us before sending anything so we can confirm current programme needs and arrange a suitable drop-off or collection point. This small step ensures nothing goes to waste and every item you give lands exactly where it is needed most.

Yes. If you feel drawn to a particular area — education for girls, healthcare outreach, women's skills training, or environmental work — you can designate your gift to that programme. Simply note your preference when making your donation or send us a message. Designated gifts are ring-fenced for the pillar you specify, and you will receive a focused report on the impact your contribution made within that specific area of work.

The Kalesh Foundation Uganda is a duly registered non-profit organisation in Uganda, and Ugandan donors may be eligible for tax relief on charitable contributions — consult your tax advisor as individual eligibility varies. For international donors, deductibility depends on your country's charity recognition rules. We issue official donation receipts to all supporters, which can be used as supporting documentation for any applicable tax claim you wish to make.

Please do — community fundraising is one of the most powerful ways to amplify our reach beyond what we could achieve alone. Whether you want to organise a sponsored run, a workplace giving campaign, a social media challenge, or simply share our donation link with your network, you are warmly welcome to fundraise on our behalf. Let us know in advance so we can supply official branding materials and messaging, support your efforts, and ensure all funds raised are correctly credited and gratefully acknowledged.

Absolutely. We actively seek partnerships with mission-aligned businesses, schools, faith organisations, and NGOs. Corporate partners can sponsor entire programmes, co-fund specific community projects, or contribute pro-bono expertise in areas such as healthcare, legal services, technology, or communications. A corporate partnership with the Kalesh Foundation connects your brand to verified, measurable community impact in Uganda — and gives your team a cause worth rallying around.

Transparency is a founding value of the Kalesh Foundation. We are a registered NGO operating under Ugandan law with clear, audited financial records. Donors receive detailed impact reports showing how funds were deployed — communities reached, numbers of beneficiaries, and outcomes delivered. We also share real-time stories, photos, and videos on Instagram @kaleshfoundation so you can follow the journey of your contribution in near real time and see with your own eyes the difference your generosity is making.

Yes, and your time is just as valued as financial support. We welcome local and international volunteers across a wide range of roles: teaching assistance, health camp support, community outreach coordination, photography, graphic design, social media management, and project administration. Whether you can give a weekend or several months, there is a meaningful role for you. Reach out via our website or social channels with your skills and availability and our team will match you to the right opportunity with care.

Children and youth are at the heart of everything we do. Your donation funds school fees and learning materials so no child is forced to drop out because of poverty, supports after-school tutoring and mentorship, and invests in vocational and life-skills programmes that equip young people — especially girls and young women — with the confidence, tools, and networks to build independent, dignified futures. Every shilling you give today is a direct investment in Uganda's next generation of leaders.

Yes. Our health outreach programme brings doctors, nurses, and health educators directly into communities where clinic visits are financially or geographically out of reach. Donations to this pillar fund medical supplies, maternal and child health camps, malaria prevention kits, hygiene education materials, and referrals for specialist care. If you are a healthcare professional who would also like to join one of our outreach camps in person, we would love to hear from you.

We understand that mistakes happen. If you make an accidental duplicate donation or need to request a reversal for any reason, contact us as soon as possible with your transaction reference and we will process the refund promptly and without question. Because programme funds are deployed quickly, we kindly ask that refund requests be made within 7 days of the transaction. Your trust matters to us, and we will always handle such requests with courtesy and transparency.

Your generosity is building a Uganda where no child is denied an education because of poverty, no mother loses a child to a preventable disease, and no young person is left without a clear path to self-sufficiency. We are creating communities that do not just survive — they truly thrive. Every programme we run is a brick in that larger structure. When you contribute to the Kalesh Foundation, you are not giving a handout — you are co-creating a future that belongs entirely to Ugandans, and that legacy lasts long after any single donation.
